Comedian Apologises To Aramide Over ‘Sex For Award’ Outburst

Victor Ebiye, a Nigerian comedian, has apologised to Aramide, an artist, for saying she got her Headies award by sleeping with the Headies organizers.

Ebiye had accused the singer of offering sexual gratification to embrace the award of the best alternative song at the Headies which held at the Eko Hotel and Suite.

Aramide beat a strong male-dominated field to win the best alternative song award at the Headies in Lagos.

The comedian who made the horrible comment on his Instagram page, has tweeted apologising to the singer by saying: “I made a distasteful joke about Aramide last night at the Headies. I am embarrassed by my comments, I’m profusely sorry.

“Aramide is a hardworking artist who deserves every recognition she gets by merit. I sincerely apologise and pledge that such will not repeat itself.”

Despite his apology, some of his followers on Twitter descended heavily on him.
