Comedian Kevin Hart Hospitalised After Car Crash

Following a car accident on Sunday, American Actor and Comedian Kevin Hart has been hospitalised with major back injuries.

Hart’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda vintage car crashed into a ditch in the wee hours of Sunday on Mulholland Highway in Los Angeles County.

According to reports, the actor was in the car with two other people when the driver, Jared Black lost control of the car and rolled into a gully.

Black, 28, and the third passenger, internet fitness model Rebecca Broxterman, were trapped inside.

“Hart and Black sustained major back injuries as a result of this collision and were transported and treated at nearby hospitals,” California Highway Patrol said in their report.

Broxterman, 31, sustained no injuries.

Black, Broxterman’s fiance, was determined not to have been driving under the influence at the time of the crash.

Hart was taken to Northridge Hospital Medical Centre and the driver was taken to another hospital, the patrol report said.

Hart, 40, is a popular comedian and actor, known for roles in “The Secret Life of Pets” and “Jumanji.”

He was asked to host the 2019 Oscars but pulled out when old homophobic tweets of his resurfaced.

The 40 year old said he did not want to be a distraction and was “sorry he had hurt people”.

The ceremony went ahead without a host.
