Reports just reaching The Whistler have it that there is ongoing protest at Wuse Market, Abuja.
The violent protest was triggered by the alleged killing of a taxi driver by task force in the market on Wednesday morning.
While the market remains closed, the protesters have blocked movement of vehicles around the area leaving hundreds of passengers stranded.
An eyewitness who spoke to this medium on the condition of anonymity said, “The Task Force official stopped the fleeing Taxi driver and shot at him after he refused to stop.
“This is a pathetic situation, there is commotion everywhere!”
