Confusion As Fire Guts Alagbon Injection Sub Station In Lagos

A wildfire broke out on Friday morning at the Alagbon Injection Station in Dolphin Estate, Ikoyi, Lagos.

While the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, officials of the Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC), said the fire started around 5.am.

According to Channels TV, operatives of state Fire Service arrived within 5 minutes of the incidence, but without water/chemical to extinguish the inferno.

Godwin Idiemudia, Public Relation Officer of Eko Disco, said a loud bang was heard at the station in the early hours of today (Thursday).

There is pandemonium as residents are panicking over possible health hazards of the smoke, with fire fighters yet to arrive the scene at the time of filling this report.
