The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, has said there is a high possibility of the coronavirus(COVID-19) being transmitted during sexual intercourse.
The minister said this during a press briefing on Thursday in Abuja.
“If a person is positive, the virus can be transmitted sexually.”

This is however contrary to the claims by scientists that the virus could not be transmitted through sexual intercourse except via oral sex.
It has been proven that Covid-19 can be transmitted from person to person and primarily spread through respiratory droplets. Touching of contaminated surfaces is thought to be the secondary mode of transmission.
