Former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke has been declared as the authentic presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP.
The Court of Appeal in Abuja, on Thursday, made the declaration in a unanimous judgement by a three-man panel of Justices.
Recall that a Federal High Court in Abuja had on December 14, 2018, voided the emergence of Duke as SDP’s candidate for the 2019 Presidential Election.

It declared Prof. Jerry Gana who came second at the primary contest winner with the highest valid votes cast.
But the Appeal court held that the high court judgment was “perverse and wrong”.
