Court Grants Dino Melaye Bail

A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted the Senator representing Kogi west Senatorial district, Dino Melaye bail.

Melaye has been held in a police health facility in Abuja.

Justice Yusuf Halilu granted bail to Melaye on health ground following an application by the senator’s lawyer.

According to him, the Senator must be healthy to stand trial and cannot be arraigned on the stretcher or ‎on his hospital bed.

The judge asked him to produce three sureties to include the Clerk of the National Assembly and two owners of properties within the Abuja metropolis.
