A federal high court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday has thrown out a false information application instituted against Anambra State Governor Elect, Prof Charles Soludo.

The suit which was filed by one Adindu Valentine and Egwudike Chukwuebuka, accused Soludo of allegedly filling incorrect information in the Form EC9 of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Form EC9 is a document in which political aspirants are required to fill in required information about themselves in designated spaces.

Valentine sought the disqualification of Soludo based on his argument, claiming that Soludo wrote he was contesting for seat in his constituency, not the state.

But Soludo’s campaign team had earlier argued via its social media platform that there was no error in the form as alleged by the plaintiff.

It contended while floating a screen shot of the document online that Prof Soludo only wrote the name of his constituency which is Aguata – Anambra in the designated space ( Name of Constituency) and there was nothing wrong with that.

In his judgment on Wednesday, Justice Taiwo Taiwo, dismissed the plaintiff’s suit as being “unnecessary”.
