A 48-year-old man, Micheal Ogbar, was on Tuesday arraigned before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly raping three of his daughters.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Tajudeen Elias, remanded him in kirikiri prisons after refusing to hear his plea.
The Magistrate said the court had no jurisdiction over the case and therefore transferred the matter to Apapa Magistrates’ Court.
Ogbar, a resident of Oke-Ogba Street, Badagry, a suburb of Lagos, has been charged with two counts of defilement and rape.
The Prosecutor, Sgt. Rafael Donny, told the court that Ogbar “sexually abused his 24, 20 and 10 year-old daughters” at his residence between January and May, 2016.
