Court Sacks APC Chairman In Rivers

A High Court in Rivers state has sacked the state’s chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ojukaye Flag-Amachree, alongside executives of the party in the state.

According to reports, the court equally voided the congresses and indirect governorship primary election conducted by the Rotimi Amaechi-led faction of the party in the state.

Ruling in suit number PHC/78/2018 filed by 23 members of the APC in the state, Justice Chiwendu Nwogu sacked the executive committee and voided the primary election that produced Mr Tonye Cole as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2019 election.

Justice Nwogu gave the ruling based on the party’s alleged flagrant disobedience of court orders and its constitution.
