“My best wishes to President @realDonaldTrump and @FLOTUS for a full and speedy recovery,” he tweeted.

Recall that Trump had withdrawn the U.S. from the global health agency, having accused it of misinforming the world about Covid-19.

Among other things, the President maintained that the WHO was covering up China, which according to him, was responsible for Covid-19 spread globally.

However, WHO denied the allegations.

Furthermore, Adhanom had stressed that US’ membership with WHO was beneficial to the Organization, the U.S. and the rest of the world.

Disclosing his Covid-19 status on Friday morning, Trump expressed faith that he and his wife would recover from it.
