COVID-19: Dantata/Sawoe,EL-AMIN Foundation Donate To Niger State Government (Photos)

In a bid to cushion the effect of Coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown on residents, Dantata and Sawoe on Thursday donated 500 bags of Rice and 1500 cartons of Macaroni to Niger State government.

The El-Amin Foundation also donated 250 protective gear and 250 pieces of hand sanitizers.
The foundation also donated an event centre for use as isolation centre to assist in the fight against the virus in the state.

The donations were part of efforts to mitigate the effects of the state government-ordered restrictions on the people.

A statement issued by Senior Special Assistant on Media, Muawiyyah Muye, said the items were received by the Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG) and Chairman, Niger State Task Force, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane accompanied by the chief of staff to the governor, Ibrahim Balarabe on behalf of the state government.

“The Secretary to the State Government, Ahmed Ibrahim Matane, while receiving the donations, said their support package would go a long way in complementing the state government’s response to COVID-19 while encouraging residents in the state to obey government’s restriction directive,” the statement read in part.

The statement noted that Balarabe, on behalf of the government appreciated the donations, saying “such acts of kindness strengthen our resolve to continue fighting this challenge, and reassure us that humanity stands tall during such extraordinary time.”

“Meanwhile, the state government has promised to be transparent and accountable in the sharing of all donations received in the fight against pandemic in the state,” the statement concluded.
