COVID-19 Deaths Hit 303,720 In India – Health Ministry

India’s Ministry of Health said as of 5:00am on Monday, 303,720 COVID-19 deaths had been reported in the country.

This was disclosed on its official website, as seen by our correspondent.

It also noted that out of 26,752,447 reported cases, 23,728,011 recoveries have been recorded.

The country moved up to the second most affected country after the United States.

Reacting to the development on Sunday, Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, sought divine intervention over the rising cases.

In a tweet on Monday, he emphasized on, “timely evacuation as well as ensuring power and communications networks are not disrupted. Also emphasised on ensuring COVID-19 treatment of patients in affected areas does not suffer due to the cyclone. Praying for everyone’s safety and well-being.”
