COVID-19 Lockdown: What Nigerian Celebrities Are Up To

Nigerian celebrities have been taking to social media to share what they’ve been up to amid the ongoing stay-at-home directive issued by the federal and state governments over the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Most of the celebrities have chosen to make themselves happy while observing the directive at home or in isolation.

Nigeria had recorded its first case of coronavirus on February 27 in Lagos State.

The Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire, had announced that one of the attendees at the recent AMVCA awards held at the Eko Hotel in Lagos State had tested positive for Covid-19.

Following the announcement, some celebrities who attended the event had decided to self-isolate.

Besides those in isolation, the recent 14-day lockdown declared in Lagos, Abuja and Ogun by President Muhammadu Buhari had forced other celebrities to remain in their various homes.

While some of the celebrities are beginning to get bored from staying at home, others in persons of Tiwa savage, Don jazzy, Eve Esin, Ini Edo, Alex Ekubo, big brother Mercy Eke, Tok Makinwa, Destiny Etiko amongst other celebrities have found ways to get themselves engaged, including joining the trend of sharing daily videos on tik-tok and other social media apps.

Some celebrities like Toyin Abraham, Tok Makinwa and other Nigerian stars have also volunteered to enlighten the public on how to stay safe from Coronavirus, while others like Run Town, Toyin Lawal, Peter psquare, Yul Edochie, Toyin Abraham among others have shown concern by sharing money and food to their fans.
