COVID-19: More Deaths As Nigeria Confirms 1,479 New Cases
Nigeria has recorded its highest number of deaths in 11 months as 23 persons were confirmed dead due to COVID-19 complications on Thursday.
The new figure takes the nation’s death toll to 1,405.
The country also recorded 1,479 cases in 25 states, and a total of 105,475 confirmed cases since the outbreak of the virus.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), 1,275 persons were discharged on Thursday and a total of 83,830 recoveries have been recorded so far.
The NCDC has however, urged Nigerians to be consistent in their adherence to non-pharmaceutical measures to prevent the spread of the virus.
