COVID-19: NCDC Corrects Tally Error, Adds 831 Cases Omitted In Lagos

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has corrected itself after omitting 831 cases recorded in Lagos State from Friday’s tally.

The NCDC said contrary to its earlier report that Nigeria recorded 1,473 cases on Friday, 2,314 new cases were recorded across 23 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

The agency indicated the correction in a tweet on Saturday. The updated record took the nation’s total confirmed cases to 118,969

Also, total recoveries have climbed to 94,877 in 11 months as Lagos alone discharged 727 persons on Friday.

The new record also raised the country’s death toll to 1,497, with the addition of seven deaths in the updated record.
