COVID-19: NCDC Reports 325 New Cases

The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 325 new cases in the country.

In it’s latest updates on Saturday, the health agency said Lagos recorded the highest number of cases with 87, followed by Abuja with 49 cases.

Others include Gombe-28, Ebonyi-20,Plateau-19,Kwara-18,Enugu-17,Imo-12,Rivers-12,Kaduna-11,Ogun-10,Edo-9,Oyo-9,Ondo-8,Osun-8,Ekiti-4,Borno-1,Kano-1,Bauchi-. and Nasarawa-1.

The NCDC also reported that Nigeria, since the outbreak of the virus in February, had recorded a total of 48,770 confirmed cases.

Out of the number, 36,290 patients had been discharged, while 974 lives have been lost to the virus.

The health agency, however, said there was currently not enough evidence to suggest that Covid-19 survivors become immune after recovery.

Hence, the NCDC advised that it was important to continue to practice physical distancing, wearing of mask and washing of hands frequently with soap and water.
