COVID-19: Nigerians React As Lagos Records 177 New Cases

Reactions have trailed the high number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases confirmed in Lagos State on Sunday.

New figures released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday showed that Lagos accounted for 177 of the 338 new cases confirmed in the country.

The total number of cases in Lagos had risen to 2,550 following the new confirmed infections.

The Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Akin Abayomi, had earlier announced that the state had discharged a total of 608 patients, while the number of fatalities stood at 36.

Some Nigerians who reacted to the high number of new cases in Lagos, blamed the alleged careless conduct of residents after the lockdown in the state was eased.
