Covid-19: WHO Calls Madagascar President For Collaboration On Herbal Remedy

The Director General of the World Heath Organization (WHO), Dr. Tedros Adhanom, on Thursday, says he had a phone conversation with the President of Madagascar, Andry Rajoelina, commending the government’s efforts in curbing covid-19 spread as well as calling for collaboration, including clinical trials.

“We discussed how to work together on therapeutics research and development,” he added.

On his part, Rajoelina confirmed in a tweet, that the phone chat he had with WHO’s DG was bordered around understudying the make up of the Covid-19 Organics as well as clinical trials.

“WHO will sign a confidentiality clause on the formulation of the #CovidOrganics and will support the clinical observations process in #Africa.

The Madagascar President has been in the news because of his country’s herbal remedy (Covid-19 Organics), which he said was effective in curbing covid-19.

Covid-19 cases in the country stands at 405.

Two deaths have been recorded while 131 had recovered, according to Worldometer and John Hopkins University figures.

Dr. Tedros stated that both of them have agreed that they needed to work together in curbing the pandemic and keeping the world safe.
