Cultists Shoot Dead Final Year IMSU Law Student, Panic Grips Varsity (Graphic Photos)

Palpable fear has gripped the Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri, Imo State as suspected cultists shot dead a graduating student of the Law Faculty early Tuesday afternoon.

Students reportedly took to their heels over the killing and are now in fear of reprisal attacks from the rival cult whose member was gunned down.

Confirming the development, the police in Imo state identified the deceased as Obrin Ibekwe, who newly graduated student and was doing his clearance in preparatory for the mandatory one year National Youth Service corps, NYSC, program.

The late Ibekwe was gunned down inside a gutter at the back gate area of the university around 2:5pm Tuesday.

The police later evacuated his lifeless body to the morgue, while investigation has been launched to ascertain the reason for the senseless killing.

A Facebook post showed that he was killed barely 10mins after he uploaded a picture with a friend.
