Dangote To Buy Arsenal Club After Completion Of Lagos Refinery

Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote has said that he will buy over Arsenal FC in 2021 from current owner Stanley Keroenke.

Dangote, who is currently worth $10 billion according to Forbes, had said back in 2018 that he would take over the North London club in 2020.

The business tycoon who is a long-time fan of Arsenal however shifted the time forward and reiterated his commitment to lunch his bid as soon as his ongoing construction of world’s largest oil refinery is completed.

Daily mail reports that the fans of the club have for years lost confidence in the current owner, with Denver Nuggets and LA Rams owner rarely showing his face at the Emirates, and would welcome a takeover from Dangote.

Dangote said in the David Rubenstein Show that; “It is a team that yes I would like to buy some day, but what I keep saying is we have $20billion worth of projects and that’s what I really want to concentrate on.”

He added that, “I’m trying to finish building the company and then after we finish, maybe some time in 2021 we can.
