Dasuki: Court Gives FG, DSS One Week Ultimatum To Comply With Order

A Federal High Court in Abuja has given the Federal Government and Department of State Service (DSS) one week ultimatum, to comply with order to vacate the house arrest imposed on former National Security Adviser (NSA), Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd).
This is coming as the new Solicitor-General of federation and Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Justice, Taiwo Abidogun, at the hearing yesterday, pleaded with the court for a week adjournment to enable authorities resolve issues surrounding the continued siege at Dasuki’s residence.
Recall that Justice Ademola Adeniyi had asked that the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, appear before the court on Monday to answer questions on why the order of the court which granted Dasuki permission to travel abroad was flouted.

However, Taiwo Abidogun, appeared in court to seek an extension of time for the AGF.
Abidogun informed Justice Adeniyi Ademola that Malami was yet to assume office.
According to Abidogun, the AGF will assume office on Wednesday and will be briefed on Dasuki’s court action between Thursday and Friday.
He therefore urged the court to grant them permission to appear in the court on Monday, 23rd November 2015.

The application, which was not opposed by Dasuki’s lawyers, led by Mr. Joseph Daudu (SAN), prompted the adjournment till next Monday.
