Davido Sells Out London’s Iconic 02 Arena

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, A.K.A, Davido has sold out the world’s busiest and UK’s second biggest indoor venue, the 20,000 capacity 02 Arena.

Recall that On the June 7 2018, barely two weeks after fellow Nigerian pop star, Wizkid sold-out the said venue, Davido disclosed his intention to do the same. “It is called; My brother did it and now I’m about to do It”, Davido said in a video that was shared across social media.

A month after his revelation, the 02 Arena confirmed via Twitter that the musician will indeed be headlining the venue in January

Last night, January 27, Davido’s dream became a reality as he indeed sold-out and delivered an epic show at the iconic arena. Davido headlined the 02 with supporting performances by his DMW signees,Mayorkum, Dremo, Peruzzi, Idowest and the others.

The show also saw 2018 breakout artiste, Victor AD take the stage to render his smash hit, Wetin We Gain.

Davido made an impressive entrance on a suspended gliding stage, performing his 2014 hit, Aye which was embellished with powerful lighting effects to thrill the already excited guests. “The best entrance I have seen in my life”, an impressed guest expressed via Twitter.

The show also saw surprise appearances by British actor, Idris Elba who carried out the responsibility of introducing Davido’s set and UK rapper, Russ who delivered a performance of his hit song, Gun Lean.

Davido now joins the list of the world’s iconic musicians who have headlined and sold-out the 02 Arena.
