Delta Assembly Speaker Impeached

Twenty two members of the Delta State House of Assembly on Thursday impeached the Speaker of the House, Chief Monday Igbuya.

Igbuya was impeached for allegedly misappropriating finances and highhandedness.

It was learnt that a member of the House from Okpe Constituency, Chief Sheriff Oborevwori, was immediately elected as his successor.

The impeached speaker was also suspended for three months by the lawmakers.
