Domestic Violence: Channels TV Reporter, Wife Reconcile After Gov Ortom’s Intervention

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has reconciled Channels TV reporter, Pius Angbo, with his wife, Dr. Mrs. Ifeyinwa Angbo.

Pius had made headlines after his wife published a video on social media, accusing him of repeatedly assaulting her in their six years of marriage.

Governor Ortom met with the couple on Monday and counselled them to always settle their differences amicably and shun the temptation to engage in violence.

He advised that as a young couple with great potentials, the husband being a versatile journalist and the wife a medical doctor, there was the need for them to foster a strong union to serve as models to others.

Pius, in reaction, said he had apologised to his wife for assaulting her, stressing that he also sought the forgiveness of the entire women folk and would make amends going forward.

On her part, the wife said she had accepted her husband’s apology and forgiven him, saying their children were still tender and needed prayers to grow stronger in love and maturity.

She appreciated Governor Ortom for taking the time out of his tight schedule to make peace between them, saying the Governor’s intervention was fatherly and a demonstration of love to them.
