Donald Trump Jr Contracts Covid-19

Eldest son of the United States President Donald Trump, Trump Jr, has contracted covid-19, his spokesperson has revealed.

He is said to be in self-isolation with no symptoms.

“Don tested positive at the start of the week and has been quarantining out at his cabin since the result.

“He’s been completely asymptomatic so far and is following all medically recommended COVID-19 guidelines,” his spokesman said, as reported by AFP on Saturday.

Recall that President Trump, his wife Melania and his last son Barron, had in October contracted the virus.

Trump was later admitted at the Walter Reed Medical Center where he recovered.

According to US media reports, about 45 White House officials or those working for the presidency have tested positive for covid-19 so far.

The Trump administration has been criticized for its handling of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country as over 250,000 Americans have reportedly died from the infection.

On his part, the President maintained that it could have been worse if not for the timely intervention of his administration.

Two US Covid-19 vaccine candidates by Pfizer and Moderna Incorporated have reached 95% completion and are awaiting federal authorization for circulation.
