A divisional police officer (DPO), a pregnant policewoman and two other officers were killed after gunmen invaded a police station in Bayelsa.
According to PUNCH, suspected hoodlums invaded the station in Agudama community of Yenagoa local government area at about 2am on Monday, opening fire on the officers.
“At dawn, we heard one policeman escaped, while another, who was shot on the leg survived the attack”, a resident was quoted as saying.

It was also learnt that the gunmen made away with rifles and ammunition during the operation.
The corpses of the DPO and others have been taken to the Federal Medical Center, Yenagoa by men of the Nigeria Police Force.
The Bayelsa Police Command, Asimin Butswat, is yet to react to the incident.
