The DPR controller said ‘black market’ was discouraging to the LPG business operators, noting that the Federal Government had committed so much resources to grow and expand gas utilisation in the country.

The Department had in December last year shutdown some unlicensed Liquefied Petroleum Gas refilling plants and a filling station over poor quality of the product.

“We will not allow illegal facilities to operate. Right now, we are collaborating with a lot of stakeholders including the Lagos State Government to eradicate all the illegal plants. We have so many of those illegal plants and we are taking them out one by one.”
