DR Congo Plans To ‘Highjack’ Man United Star Wan-Bissaka From England

The Democratic Republic of Congo are said to be on a surprise ploy to lure Manchester United star, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, from England.

The 22-year-old wing back had represented the English national team at the under 21 level and was invited to the English Senior side last year, but missed out on Euro 2021 qualifying games with Bulgaria and Kosovo due to injuries.

Wan-Bissaka has a tough line up to beat in the English wing back position with the likes of Kieran Trippier, City’s Kyle Walker and Liverpool’s Trent Alexander- Arnold. Also, the likes of Chelsea’s Reece James and Arsenal’s Maitland-Niles are considered

The Sun sport quoted Congolese national team’s assistant coach, Christopher Oualembo, as saying:  “We have been making approaches to Wan-Bissaka for quite some time now. Our most recent contacts with him were just earlier this week.

“In these situations, it isn’t always the youngsters who make the decisions, especially at his age.

“However, the points that have emerged from our discussions are that we may need a bit of patience – but we can have plenty of hope.”

Wan-Bissaka’s recent removal of the English national team’s flag from his Instagram page had also sparked uncertainty about his commitment to the English side.
