An unidentified woman reportedly took an Uber ride from Lekki to the Panti police station in Lagos State to file a complaint against the sun.
According to an X user identified as Olamide (@Olamide0fficial), the woman said the weather was “too hot” and insisted on reporting the matter to the police.
The lady allegedly refused to pay the Uber fare of N15,000, prompting a police officer to settle the bill on her behalf.
After the officer paid for her ride, the woman reportedly refused to leave the premises, saying she wanted to rent an apartment at the police station.
“This lady reportedly took Uber from Lekki (to) Panti to file a case against the sun because the weather is too hot & she refused to pay the driver 15,000 for the ride,” Olamide wrote on X.

“A police (officer) paid for her ride to go home but she still came back, she said she wanted to rent apartment inside Panti.”
Confirming the incident, the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Lagos State Governor, Jubril Gawat, said the woman had been rescued by the Ministry of Youth and Social Development.
In a post on X, Gawat wrote: “The Lagos State Ministry Of Youth and Social Development under leadership of Hon. @Mo_ogunlende have gone to Panti to rescue the Young Lady and conduct necessary findings on her case.”
The incident comes barely 48 hours after the ministry rescued a mentally challenged woman in Ogba, Agege, and placed her in a government rehabilitation centre.
In a statement, the Commissioner, Mobolaji Ogunlende, urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report such incidents to the authorities.

Similarly, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Toyin Oke-Osanyintolu, reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to maintaining social stability and ensuring the welfare of all residents.
The ministry encouraged residents to call 09132055075 to report any incident requiring government intervention.
