Drivers’ Licence Now Valid For Five Years – FRSC

This was according to the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive Officer of Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Mr. Boboye Oyeyemi, who said the decision was taken by the Joint Tax Board at its 134th meeting held recently in Kano.

The FRSC boss in a chat with Transport Editors in Lagos, said drivers now have the option of opting for either the existing three year licence which goes for N6, 000 or the new five years licence for N10, 000.00.

Oyeyemi noted that the optional validity period at different cost approved by the Board was to provide more efficient and effective service delivery to its customers.

He added that any new applicant for any of the two driving licences would have to go to an approved driving school for training to qualify for a licence to drive.

He however, promised that the FRSC would henceforth complete the production of vehicle number plate in five working days.
