EFCC Arraigns Suspects Involved In P&ID Deal

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC will on Thursday arraign suspects involved in the Process and Industrial Development (P&ID) contract negotiations in court.

Reports state that the suspects will be arraigned today at the Federal High Court in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

The EFCC commenced an investigation of the contract which was entered into by the federal government with P&ID.

The gas processing plant contract had culminated into enforcement judgment of $9.6billion against the FG by a court in the United Kingdom.

However, two people were taken to the dock at the proceedings presided over by Justice Inyang Ekwo.

According to the prosecutor, 11 charges are brought to the court against the defendant.
