EFFC Storms Kaduna Agency, Arrests Director-General

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have reportedly arrested Ismail Dikko, the Director-General of the Kaduna State Urban Planning Development Agency (KASUPDA).

Dikko was arrested from his office on Monday.

He was said to be in a meeting with other officials of the agency when operatives of the anti-graft commission stormed the premises.

The operatives came with rifles in a black Toyota Hilux vehicle and whisked Dikko away, reports Daily Trust.

The operatives were said to have initially struggled with officials at KASUPDA before Dikko asked them to open the gate.

Dikko was a Special Assistant to Governor Nasir El-Rufai before he was appointed to head the agency in 2019.
