El Rufai Wins Kaduna Guber With Over 200,000 Votes
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate Governor Nasir El-Rufai as winner of Saturday’s election in Kaduna state.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Mohammed Yahuza Bello said El-Rufai polled 1.045,427 while the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship candidate Hon. Isa Mohammed Ashiru polled a total of 814,168 votes.

“That Nasir El-Rufai of the APC having satisfied the requirements of the law and having scored the highest number of votes is hereby returned and elected,” Bello said.
El-Rufai won in 14 local governments while Ashiru won in nine.
Recall that El Rufai, before casting his vote on Saturday, had said he was not afraid of losing the election.
His words, “I am not under any tension since President Muhammadu Buhari has won. Even if I lose, I already have a job,” he said.
