Elon Musk To Donate $100m To Best Carbon Capture Tech

World richest man, Elon Musk has pledged a $100m prize money towards the best carbon capture technology.

“I’m donating $100m towards a prize for best carbon capture technology,” the Tesla Inc. Chief Executive Officer said on Friday.

The billionaire who recently overtook Jeff Bezos as the richest man did not provide the detail of the carbon tech contest.

Musk said, “Details next week.”

The “carbon capture technology” as named by Musk is the process of capturing and storing carbon dioxide (CO2) at the source before it is released into the atmosphere.

Musk had developed series of eco-friendly cars that reduce emission of carbon into the atmosphere.

The Tesla boss has reportedly donated to different forestation programmes.
