Elon Musk’s Tesla Joins Apple, Amazon To Worth $1trn

Tesla Inc has become the fifth United States Company with market capitalization  of $1trn.

At the close of Monday’s trade, the company co-founded by the richest man, Elon Musk saw its market capitalisation breach $1trn.

Tesla has  joined Apple Inc, Amazon, Microsoft and Alphabet (Google.O) in the list of the trillion dollar companies.

Tesla reached the height after landing its biggest-ever order from rental car company Hertz.

Hertz’s announced decision to order 100,000 Tesla vehicles by the end of 2022

The deal will bring in a reported $4.2bn for Tesla, according to Bloomberg.

Checks on the NASDAQ Stock Market by THE WHISTLER revealed that the company’s market capitalisation closed at $995bn. It had risen to $998.07bn by noon.

The company’s shares also rose to $994.86 from $909.68.
