Nigeria has relaxed lockdown across major cities, including Lagos and Abuja in a bid to boost economic activities and Deposit Money Banks in the country are intensifying efforts to encourage electronic services to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
The government had eased the lockdown on May 4 and issued modalities among which will allow banks to operate for 6 hours daily.
The directive also makes it compulsory for banks to sanitise its environment and enforce social distancing on its premises.
Fidelity bank, one of the country’s leading financial institutions in an address to customers said the bank was devising ways to serve them better through the use of mobile banking apps for customers’ convenience, while it maintained that its branches were open.
The bank said customers could locate its branchesvia: “httpp//www.fidelitybank.ng/branch- locator/,” adding that “We encourage you to take advantage of Fidelity bank mobile app, online banking, instant banking (*770#) and ATM,” which it said were available at all times.
