Belgium took the lead thanks to Thorgan Hazard’s goal in the 42nd minute.
All attempts made by Portugal were denied by Thibaut Courtois, Belgium goalkeeper.

Portugal who are the defending champions qualified from Group F tagged the group of death alongside Germany and France.
Roberto Martinez’s Belgium reached the semi-finals of the World Cup in Russia three years ago and were among the teams that won three of their group matches in the early stages of the Euro 2020.
Belgium finished the group stages top of Group B after winning Russia, Denmark and Finland.
But Fernando Santos Portugal were lucky to secure the best third place slot to qualify for the round of 16.
