EndSars: Police Fire Tear Gas At Protesters In Abuja

In a bid to disperse the #Endsars campaigners, men of the Nigerian Police Force fired tear gas at protesters in Abuja on Monday.

The protesters had gathered at the ‘Power House’ in the Asokoro Area of the nation’s capital.

It was in continuation of the demand by the protesters to end police brutality, harassment and extra-judicial killings.

The protesters were intercepted at the John Kennedy Street as they attempted to march through the back gate of the Presidential villa.

The popular AYA roundabout in Abuja was earlier barricaded by soldiers.

THE WHISTLER gathered that also, in an attempt to prevent the protests, officers of the police force are also stationed in the front of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) headquarters with Armoured Personnel Carrier and water cannons.
