#EndSARS: Violence By Police, Protesters Not Solution -Ghanaian President

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, has said resorting to violence, either by the Nigeria Police Force or demonstrators will further worsen the #EndSARS situation in Nigeria.

His statement on Wednesday came as a reaction to the developments trailing the EndSARS protests.

Meanwhile, Akufo-Addo, condoled with victims of the violence.

“Violence, be it on the part of the Police or protesters, cannot be the solution.

“To the families who have lost their loved ones, I express my sincere condolences, and I wish the injured a speedy recovery.#EndSARS, “he tweeted.

Also, he observed that he had held bilateral talks with President Muhammadu Buhari on the matter.

He called for dialogue in resolving all issues.

“I join all well-meaning persons in calling for calm, and the use of dialogue in resolving the #EndSARS impasse in Nigeria.

“I have spoken with President Buhari, who is committed to this end, and has begun the processes that will lead to reform,” he stated.

Addo, also sits as the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States(ECOWAS).
