#EndSARS: ‘We Don’t Want Reform But End To SARS’ – Falz, Others Tell Govt

Nigerian Rap Artiste, Folarin Falana also known as Falz, has demanded that the federal government put an end to the Special Anti- Robbery Squad (SARS) Unit of the Nigerian Police as consistent directives to reform the unit have failed.

Making his claims, the Rap artiste alongside Singer, RunTown noted that Nigerians were tired of the extra-judicial killings of youths, and demand that government disband the unit, before things get out of place.

The duo led a ‘peaceful’ protest in Lagos, with Nigerians turning up en mass with placards calling for an end to Police Brutality.

With protests happening simultaneously in various parts of the state, Nigerians made their demands stating that errant cops must be fished out and made to face the wrath of the law while public enquiry should be carried out into the operation of the unit.

Also, they demanded that unjust harassment, extortion and intimidation of youths by the force must stop.

“We are not going to condone such. We are saying it to the world, Let the United Nations know and lets every civilized nation know,” they declared.

They asked that the “tags of all policemen, with name and job details, should be provided on uniforms of operatives, and none should be found in civil wears while on duty”.

They implored the Force to be accountable to Nigerians, as they too would become ordinary civilians someday.
