Euro 2016: England Release Final 23-man Squad
England manager, Roy Hodgson, on Tuesday named his 23-man squad for the 2016 European Championship in France.
The 68-year-old surprisingly handed Manchester United’s youngster Marcus Rashford – who scored on his international debut in the 2-1 friendly victory over Australia on Friday, an opportunity to make a mark in this summer’s European Championship.
The inclusion of Rashford is arguably more eye-catching given the 18-year-old was playing U18 academy football at Manchester United only a few months ago.

He scored on his debut for the Red Devils on February 25th, and finished the season with eight goals in 18 appearances for United which earned him a call-up.
However, Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater and Newcastle winger Andros Townsend were axed from the final selection ahead of Uefa’s midnight deadline.
Hodgson initially named a 26-man squad earlier this month, but was cut to 25 when Manchester City midfielder Fabian Delph picked up an injury.
England will travel to France on Monday, ahead of their opening Group B fixture, against Russia in Marseille, on 11 June.
