Europa League: Arsenal Draws Bate, Everton In Group Of Death

English Premier League club side Arsenal are competing in the Europa league competition for the first time since 1997 and have been drawn to face Bate Borisov, FC Koln and Crvena Zvezda in Group H.

The Europa League Group Stage draws took place at the Grimaldi Forum, Monaco, on Friday.

It will be fascinating to see how Arsenal approach the Europa League, having become so familiarised with the UEFA Champions League during the 21-year stay of Arsene Wenger.

Meanwhile, Everton were drawn in a potential group of death, with Ronald Koeman’s side facing French club Lyon – hosts of this season’s final – semi-finalists last season, and Italian club Atalanta in Group E.

Also, European giant, AC Milan, will face Austria Vienna, AEK Athens and Rijeka of Croatia in Group D.

AC Milan have one of the most storied European histories of any football club, having won the Champions League seven times. They’ll be hoping to add to that legacy with a strong display here.
