Eva Carneiro To Sue Mourinho and Chelsea Over Job Dismissal

Former Chelsea football team doctor, Eva Carneiro has filed legal actions against coach, Jose Mourinho and Chelsea football club over the loss of her job as the club’s first-team doctor.

The action suggests that Carneiro holds Mourinho responsible in part or in full for her departure from Stamford Bridge.

Details of the claim have been lodged with the Employment Tribunal and Chelsea are now aware of the details in the claim.

This means that the beleaguered Chelsea manager could be forced to appear in person at an employment tribunal next year, heaping more pressure on the 52-year old who has seen his side lose six of their 11 matches this season.

The controversy over Carneiro goes back to August 8, the opening day of the season, when Mourinho criticised her and head physio Jon Fearn for going on to the pitch to treat Eden Hazard after being called on by referee Michael Oliver.

In the post-match press conference, Mourinho described his medical staff as “impulsive and naive.”

Carneiro did not appear on the bench again for first-team duties and is now seeking a claim for constructive dismissal after parting company with the club.
