EXCLUSIVE: Crackdown On EFCC Officials Continues As Top Lawyer Suspended Indefinitely
A top official in the legal arm of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has just been handed indefinite suspension by the presidency, THE WHISTLER understands.
A source privy to developments in the EFCC, revealed this to our correspondent on Monday.

The source gave the name of the newly suspended official as Abba Ibrahim.
According to the source, Ibrahim was one of EFCC’s legal team that “handled sensitive cases,” adding that he was “One of our best hands.”
Ibrahim’s suspension came days after President Muhammadu Buhari approved the suspension of 12 directors in the commission.
The Office of the Attorney-General of the Federation reportedly communicated the directors’ suspension in a letter to the new acting chairman of EFCC, Mohammed Umar.

All of these are coming amidst the investigation of the suspended acting Chairman of the EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, for alleged corruption and insubordination.
