Explosion Hits ‘Internally Displaced Persons’ (IDP) Camp In Adamawa – NEMA

An explosion has occurred at one of the of the Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camps in Yola, capital of Adamawa state.

Confirming the incident, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) and the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency said the incident occurred at a warehouse in the camp.

Spokesman of the state emergency agency, Sanni Datti who gave the name of the camp as Malkohi, said all persons in that area are currently being evacuated.

“I can confirm to you that there was a bomb blast at Malkohi camp this morning but we don’t have the details for now because we are busy evacuating people,” he said
