FAAN Suspends Officials Over Cow Invasion Of Akure Airport Runway

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has suspended the head of security at the Akure Airport, Ondo State after cows invaded the airport runway disrupting the landing of an Air Peace flight.

In a statement on Monday, Henrietta Yakubu, FAAN’s spokesperson, also queried the airport manager over the incident.

Mrs.Yakubu further assured members of the public that measures have been put in place to avoid a reoccurrence of the ugly incident.

Recall that days back an Air Peace flight from Lagos to Akure was delayed from landing after cows invaded the airport runway for several minutes.
