Social networking platform, Facebook, has introduced a new post format that encourages users to share their favourite music.
The new format called ‘Music Stories’ creates a user-friendly Facebook, making it easy for subscribers to share music.

The feature will only work on Facebook’s Apple-compatible mobile app for users with accounts on Spotify or Apple Music, and available through the Facebook app on iPhone.
A person listening to a song on a streaming site would click share and then copy, he or she would then paste it on Facebook, adding commentary if desired, and friends will see the post with options to hear the song.
Facebook said it would expand Music Story support for additional streaming music services soon.
According to the Company’s director of product, Michael Cerda, this new feature will better the overall user experience on its platform.
He said: “We hope by making this experience better, artists will share more, friends will share and engage more, and music will become a better part of the Facebook experience overall.
