Facebook Set to Introduce Shopping Feature On its Platform

Tech giants, Facebook has announced that it is testing several ad features that allow users to shop directly through its app.

The company disclosed this via a Facebook post by its head of product marketing for commerce, Emma Rodgers.

The post reads; “We’re looking to give people an easier way to find products that will be interesting to them on mobile, make shopping easier and help businesses drive sales.”

This new initiative involves transforming News Feed ads into a virtual store window for advertisers, as well as creating a dedicated Shopping News Feed.

The new function is also aimed more at brands with bigger marketing budgets.

Facebook hopes to win over more ad dollars by smoothing the process of shopping online.

Currently, Facebook, has over 1 billion registered users.
