Facebook Unveils New Feature To Automatically Help Users Share Photos

Online social networking platform, Facebook, has launched a new feature ‘Photo Magic’ that will help make sharing of photos easier, before you even upload them to the social network.

Using facial recognition, Facebook Messenger will look through your newly taken photos in your phone’s camera roll to identify your friends in them.

‘Photo Magic’ would then send you a notification of photos it finds of your Facebook friends and suggest people to share the photos with.

So you don’t have to go the extra step to message or text them later.

Facebook users also have the option to turn off ‘Photo Magic’ notifications altogether.

Commenting on this new feature, Facebook’s head of Messenger app, David Marcus said: “It’s still way too difficult to share photos with friends, and receive all the ones you’re in.”

‘Photo Magic’ is currently being rolled out only to Android users in Australia. Assuming all goes well, it will be available to all Facebook users across the world, beginning with the United States.
